Will upgrade to JB clear my SMS and call log ?

Hi there

As said in the topic, will an upgrade to JB clear existing SMS and Call log ?

I bought my father the S3 while ago, and he like to keep all the SMS' from his grandson. I personally never use SMS, only whatsapp and they do offer a back up. So it was never issue for me, nor did I bother to check when I was upgrading my phone.
I would appreciate some insight, I'm worry I will wipe dad's stuff when doing the upgrade.

I upgraded a while back and kept all my data / settings / SMS / call logs
On vodafone UK, OTA update

does the update clear anything?

For example i'm very far in a game and dont want to lose my current progress.

No it shouldn't clear any of your settings or saved stuff all you're doing is installing an up to date os
