Help Will whatsapp backups be valid for seven days, or will seven backups be valid (from any date)?

Hi,

I've got a question about WhatsApp backups. At whatsapp.com there's a FAQ-page which says that backups in WhatsApp are valid for 7 days. Is it true that these backups won't 'work' anymore after 7 days, or do they mean that there will only be seven backups kept in total? (of any date)

So, imagine I've got seven backups - july, august, september, november, december, january, february - will I be able to recover all these, because it's seven in total, or only the one which have been saved in the past seven days? (so that'll be the february one?)

It means back up files will only keep the last 7 days history. AFAIK there is only one backup file so multiple backups aren't allowed.
