From my earliest time on this forum I've been a die hard rooter and rom flashing addict. I'm finding fewer and fewer reasons for doing so now. Marshmallow seems to fit the bill for me, and I haven't had much reason to change it.

So there it is - Will you or have you rooted? Why/Why not?

Booteloader unlocked and rooted the first day I got it.

I use Titanium Backup extensively, and AdAway is a great thing. Without root, I wouldn't have been able to edit my build.prop file to allow for tethering. I also like the advanced power menu.

I made the mistake of NOT bootloader unlocking the first day, and now that I don't have that backup to go back to doing the unlock wipe is just like ughhhh.

I'm over here making rookie mistakes!

After updating my HTC One m7 to lolipop I have found little need to root anymore. My Nexus 6p is perfect ATM and I don't see a need to mess with it until the support ends. Now my M7 on the other hand it's going to be tweaked!

Every one of these apps are important to me. I like to swap out softkeys also. Root is Mandatory!

Rooted it on First Day, and the reason was simple, I wanted the softkeys to be reversed. Right now I am on PureNexus Custom ROM, and let me tell you its an hyper performance ROM without a single Bug

My only concern for rooting the 6P would be the updates that supposedly Google would be sending out in the future. I also love to root. Maybe later in the future. It's funny cause I'm with Metro PCS & don't have those pesky Metro apps in my 6P. It feels like I'm rooted already:D

Yes without a doubt! The sole reason I've bought a Nexus (arriving on Tuesday) is to root it and play about with the software and have, hopefully, more stable ROMs.
