I'm new to this forum and would like to get a start here. Willing to help design graphics for themes. Including icons, wallpapers, and logos.
But can someone tell me the dimensions i need for wallpapers?
I'm running android 2.1. I'm using huawei ascend.
and i was wanting to know how to get my name added on the "willing to design wallpapers" or whatever list.
First off, welcome to AF.
I can't speak to helping with themes, icons, etc., as I generally don't do those. As for wallpapers, if you're referring to my thread
http://androidforums.com/android-themes/92348-also-willing-make-wallpapers.html
I welcome anyone to pick up some of the requests posted there. All I ask is that you let me know you're doing so, so that we're not doing the same one and that you try to make original wallpapers - Don't just resize one you find and post that unless that's what's requested. If people like you stuff, I'll include you in the list of contributors. If you mean you'd like your thread in the stickied "Android Themes Guide" thread that's always on top, that's up to the mods/admins here. The only way I know of to get in there is to impress them with your body of work.
As for wallpaper resolution, there are 3 main sizes.
640x480 - Older Androids such as G1, Hero, Eris, My Touch etc.
960x800 - Most newer Androids such as Incredible, Desire, Galaxy S phones, Evo, Nexus One etc.
960x854 - Motorola Androids such as the Droid, Droid X, Droid 2 & Milestone.
A Google search will usually quickly give you the right size for a particular phone. If you can't find the wallpaper size, look up screen resolution. The height will tip you off to the right size - IE, The Hero's resolution is 320x480, so I know the wallpaper needs to be 640 wide to allow for scrolling across multiple screens.
Hope this helps, and if you have any more questions just ask.
