Today went I left the house to do my mowing I couldn't help but notice a neighbor down the street seemingly hugging the grill of his Willys Jeep. Keep in mind that this Jeep was parked in his drive when I moved in 1973. When I came home from mowing it was sitting on a trailer and now it's gone. The old man that owns the Jeep drove it for many years. It has not likely been out of the garage in twenty years however. I tried to buy it a decade or so ago from old Charlie. He said the Jeep is the love of my life and I will never sell it. He is still living but I think his kids had a different slant on the situation. Anyway... someone bought a very nice WWII vehicle. It has been said it was the vehicle that won the war. It breaks my heart to see it gone. The owner has to be in his upper 90's. I KNOW the Jeep meant more to the guy than money.
