WimAmp not recognizing new music

Hello phellow phandroids. I recently copied more music via wifi to my Droid X at 2 different time periods in the day. My WinAmp player recognized some of them from earlier in the day, but none of the files I moved over (via EStrongs) several hours later.

I've run the SDRescan app, I've rebooted several times and I've even open some of the "missing" songs thru EStrongs using the WinAmp and default Music player. Although, it did play in WinAmp, it said Unknown Artist, Song and Album.

How can I get WinAmp to recgonize my other song files?

EDIT: btw, I just realized the default music player also does not recognize the songs in the Recently Added playlist

What file format are your new songs using? MP3, AAC, WMA? I've noticed that most of the music players (except for PowerAmp) have trouble dealing with some (not all) WMA files. Some WMA files will not play at all, and often the "Artist" name is not recognized, even though it's clearly noted in the ID3 tag.

Have you checked which folder your recently loaded files landed in? For example, I recently transfered a file to my phone via Bluetooth and it ended up in a "Music" subfolder under my "Bluetooth" folder, rather than ending up in my normal top-level Music folder. Therefore, since my music player app was only searching the normal Music folder, there was no way for the player app to find that the song was in a "Bluetooth/Music" folder.

Well this is rather embarrassing. I hadn't realized I had the .nomedia file in my "Music" folder. I removed that and all is well. Some days....I swear.
