Help Win XP installs phone as camera

Hi guys,

No matter how many times I uninstall and retry, and after unbelievable amounts of googling, I can only get my HOX to install on the pc as a camera, and can't access any storage or folders. Any workarounds out there as searching doesn't seem to bring anything up. 4.2.2 in case it matters

I am assuming you have installed htc sync.
If so try this as it used to work, go to settings & in the wireless & networks click more.
In this page click mobile network sharing.
In the next page that opens select usb network setting.
in the screen that pops up select internet pass-through or if that dont work try usb tethering.
Once you get your phone to register change it back to none.
This has worked before.

Or pull down the notification bar. YOu should see a "connected as a camera" item. Click it and select Media Device (MTP).
