winamp music synced to phone is being stripped of album art

Is anyone having an issue where winamp is not sending the embedded album art to the phone when it's being synced? I'm not having it re-encoded or anything like that, and the embedded album art is in the mp3 before it goes to the phone, but it's not there when it gets to the phone.

(copying the mp3 normally carries over the embedded album art just fine.....and if I sync a file that has album art with winamp to the phone and send it back to my computer it no longer has the embedded album art)
