windows os phones on their way out?

These days it seems like all you hear about are Iphones and Droids. Are Windows OS phones on their way out?

Windows phone 7 is dropping soon I believe. Also the people at most T-mo stores will say they prefer the HD2 over the Vibrant and claim the Vibrant is terrible while the HD2 is some sort of masterpiece. I even had one rep tell me the Garmin phone was the best thing he'd ever heard of because of the GPS. I looked at him and told him that all smartphones have GPS and he looked very confused.
