Root WIP Safe to disable bloat

DeadDude

Android Enthusiast
Here's my attempt at a list of safe to disable applications on the Huawei Valiant.

_-=*Your mileage may vary.*=-_

Before I continue, let's make sure we all understand the steps.

1. Open Settings- Manage Apps
2. Click on application.
3. Click Remove Updates
4. Uncheck Notifications
5. Clear cache (unnecessary?)
6. The Uninstall Updates became Disable. Click Disable.
7. Accept.
8. Reboot.

These steps appear to do the same as the Freeze option in Titanium Backup, and for free.

Now onto the list!

Google+
GoogleSearch
GooglePlay Movies
GooglePlay Books
YouTube
VisualVoicemail
TalkBack
MyMetro
MyExtras
MetroPCSScreenIt
Metro411
MetroBlockIt
Google magazines
Email
Chrome
Appstore (has @ icon)

There's certainly more, but I haven't tried.

Swype is safe to disable. I reenabled it recently.

Android Keyboard is disabled on my device, make sure you have another keyboard installed.

Threads for other phones claim the apps you expect to replace the removed system apps need to be in the system folder... well I haven't moved a thing and have rebooted repeatedly without incident.
