Wipe Cache

No option to Wipe the Cache Partition in recovery anymore.
I did find that you can wipe cached data for all apps in Settings - Storage.
Wonder if it is just as good?

I wouldn't think it's going to have the same effect. The system cache resides in its own dedicated partition and is relative only to the operating system. App caches are stored in the user's data partition and relate only to their respective apps.

This works to wipe the system cache on a Moto E4, guessing it should apply to your X 4th Gen.? That wipe system cache option is buried pretty deep in all the button pressing.

Must be a change made in 7.0 and up.
Probably be installing TWRP as soon as one gets built for this device.

Agree, so now that I have this snifty seemless update thingy, it would be REALLY NICE if MOTO woud us it for OREO!!!!!!!! :p
The reason I went with the Android One version was updates straight from Google. Lenovorolla really dragged their feet on getting 7.0 on the XPE. Some people still waiting.
