Help Wipe data/factory reset and SD card data

Hi,

I have done the "wipe data/factory reset" on my samsung galaxy s3. After that, I found that all my files (including photos, videos, and pdf files) in external SD card are not opened by any software. It seems the "wipe data" affect to the files in external SD card. I transferred the files into my computer but still same. Anyone could help how can I restore or fix this?

I suspect that one possible problem is SD card encryption....

Just to give you a bit more details:
The phone and the SD card were encrypted. and I can still see the folders and files in the SD card. The file sizes are not 0 bit, they are all in their sizes.

Thank you in advance.

If the card was encrypted by the phone before you wiped it then it will not be read at all. Only thing that can be done is Format and start over.
