Wired headset (speakers and mic) for mobile phone

Hi

Does anyone have any recommendations or experience using a wired headset with their phone?

I would like to purchase a headset similar to those used for Skype calls but I want it to work with my Sony Xperia Z2 on normal telephone calls instead. The basic hands-free kits are rubbish, nobody can ever hear me as the mic is so far down when I use my mobile for a work conference call.

I've had good success the the headset provided by Samsung, for the S3 and S5. You could use a clip-thingy to better position the microphone -- they used to be pretty common, not sure about now.

Really looking for something wired, kind of like a gaming headset that gives me a mic right in front of me, or something similar to what a call centre worker would wear in order to make sure they were hands free but could be heard well.
