Wireless & Too Many Applications Question!

Hello everyone, I want to buy a TF today! But I just thought of something, can TF connect to networks with hidden SSID [broadcast name]? I had a lot of issues with my android cell phone. :S

Hows the performance out-of-box compared to a TF with many installed applications? Once again, I had tons of issues with my android phone and installing applications causing the OS to become laggy, or even broken.

Is it possible to find 32 gig TF in stores? I keep reading about 16 gig availability.

Thanks in advance!

There was a guy on here who was having trouble connecting to a network with hidden SSID. Not sure if he ever resolved it. IMO hidden SSIDs accomplish nothing since anyone with the knowledge and motivation to hack into a secured network, will have the tools to see a hidden SSID. I personally use WPA2, MAC filtering, and DHCP reservation with my networks. Sure someone can still get by all three of those if they want, but the average joe looking to bum some internet will move on to that unsecured Linksys neighbor down the street lol.

I've got about 30 apps on mine, no real slow downs. Honeycomb does a much better job on memory management that my Droid X does for sure.

TF lags a little bt when running a few apps. Multitasking still needs some work on honeycomb.

Also, hiding your SSID does nothing for network security. If you are using WPA2 encryption, most wardrivers wont waste their time as it can take hours/days to crack. Its a myth that it makes your network more secure. Its just as easy to hack a network with a hidden SSID or mac filter than one without.

Change your ssid to a random set of numbers and letters and enable WPA2 encryption. You will be fine.
