IMO your best move is to email the developer of the app or game if you think it has too many and/or unnecessary permissions for what it actually does. Be polite, and state exactly what you think is wrong. It is the developer that decides what permissions a game or app has when they build it.
Many good developers do state the reasons for having the whatever permissions in their game or app descriptions.
If you are running Android 6 can't you just deny the app (whichever it is - you didn't say) any permissions you aren't happy with? Of course it might refuse to work, but that's always the choice.
