WMA's on Galaxy Ace

Hi all, newby here. Just got a Galaxy Ace for me and one for the wife. Using Kies it transfers all my WMA's from my PC only to find it won't play them. So why will it transfer something it won't play or even see in the music player? What's the best way around this? Certainly can't be bothered to buy a WMA - MP3 converter, is there an upgrade or app that fixes this?

Kies normally converts the files to a suitable format. Did you use the Kies open explorer feature then paste them into the Music folder as shown in the pic?
