wont charge or turn on

I recently bought a Samsung galaxy ace plus, its less then 6 months old. I went to put it on the charger today as it was flat and it wouldn't charge, I took the battery out and then back in to find that the screen went black and an android symbol appears saying it was downloading and to not turn off the "target" . how do I fix this?

It looks as though you have put your phone into Download mode (commonly known as Odin mode). As long as it's not actually downloading anything, you should be fine with turning it off and restarting it. You can either pull the battery or press and hold the power button to turn it off.

Your phone is in downloader mode. Was it up to date on software when you bought it? If so, another battery pull should allow you to circumvent this screen.
