wont come on

[Android Question]

my android 3 verizon motorola will not come on. it died and i tried charging it in my car well it wasnt charging or coming on. so i thought it was just my car charger but when i get home and put it on my actual charger it still wont charge, i try to turn it on and it will act like its going to and shows the motorola symbol but then shuts off.. helpppp please ):

I've had this problem also.

There is a good chance that the chargers you are using are not compatible with your phone. Even though it fits properly, and connects with Micro-USB and plugs into the wall correctly, that doesn't mean it will charge:

• Some phone or charger manufacturers disable charging if it isn't with the original device or charger you purchased
• Some chargers don't pull enough voltage and/or energy to keep the phone charged. Even if your phone was ON and plugged in

My experience with Motorola devices and super low charges (below 5%) is that it can take 12-24 hours to get it back to a normal charging procedure. It is somehow goes into a safe mode and trickle charges until 5%, then resume charging normally. While in this trickle charge there is no indication (on screen or the little LED next to the microUSB port) that it is doing anything.

Try an external charger if you have access to one.
