Wont connect to car stereo

I have an s8+ that I am trying to use with my android car stereo I just bought, when I connect my phone to the stereo it tells me I need to install easy connect. I did but I still cant connect, any help?

What exactly is this "easy connect", is it installed from the Play Store? Are you using Android Auto? Also what make and model is your car stereo?

It's a download that the stereo says to connect, the stereo is an android brand, no idea model, android auto, I'll try that

Can your car radio connect via Bluetooth? If so do that you have to pair both devices

Yeh it connects bluetooth

Ok, so you should be able to play your music off the phone to the car radio.
Fire up a music player app on the phone and you should be good to go.

I have you tube red, would be nice to use apps I have also, supposed to play video

Not sure if YouTube red will work via Bluetooth. How about your stock music player?
