So, I was on a road trip with my father recently and while I was driving, I let him use my smartphone to play games. Now keep in mind, he's one of those old "cell phones are a sign of the end times" kind of people (well, not that extreme).
He was becoming increasingly frustrated with the phone and said it wasn't responding to his thumb's touch. I explained that it couldn't be the phone since I use it constantly and haven't ever had a problem so it must be his fault. You know, blame the old guy. Finally, when we stopped for a break I had him show me what he was doing and to my surprise he was touching the screen correctly and shouldn't have been seeing any lack of responsiveness.
Now that I've regaled that long-winded story, I guess what I'm asking is what kinds of things would make it difficult for his touch to be registered by my phone screen?
