Wont Sync to my Ford Focus

I bought my wife a straight talk Galaxy Centura phone. I can not get the phone to sync to my 2012 Ford Focus. I go the the process with the car it says to search for SYNC on the phone - It shows up - It says to enter the pin number that we are given from the car. The pin can be entered and then when you click done it immediatly says that it can not sync.

Can you change the SYNC system in your car to not require a PIN? Maybe it isn't entered correctly. I know this is possible on the Toyota systems and most BT systems, for that matter.

Also, what exactly isn't syncing? The audio, the phone, or the contacts?
