Backstory : I inadvertently left my phone on with the hiddenmenu on screen, my 6 yr old son (in the blink of an eye) disabled tap2wake feature. Now I know "don't leave the phone unattended", but it was just to close the refrigerator door he left open.
Some of you find the double tap2wake feature useful, others it annoys because of accidental turn on and battery drain. So I located the "switch" to turn it on or off. This will require the same app, Shortcut Master, we used to "help alleviate" our lack of data tethering. http://androidforums.com/threads/tether-fix-solution.936410/
The steps that follow require root. As always make a backup before changing system settings. I will not be responsible for any damages you incur.

When the setting is changed in any 1 of the 3 choices above, the other 2 are updated. So there isn't any reason to try the others, unless of course you just want to check.

- Open up Shortcut Master
- Tap menu in upper right corner
- Select SEARCH
- Type "knockon" in the text field
- Tap on SEARCH button
- Scroll down to com.lge.hiddenmenu (see ** below), it'll show in grey underneath "com.lge.hiddenmenu.settings.LgSrvKnockONSettings"
- Tap and select Launch, the red rocket
- Decide if you want it on or off
**Alternatively you can select 1 of the 2 Settings, in grey underneath will be:
- com.android.settings.Settings$KnockONSettingsActivity
- OR
- com.android.settings.Settings$KnockONSettingsSwitchActivity.
- Just pick on or off.
When the setting is changed in any 1 of the 3 choices above, the other 2 are updated. So there isn't any reason to try the others, unless of course you just want to check.
