Help worrying virus on thr android google chrime app

Earlier this evening I was using chrome on my arnova tablet to browse the web as I often do.Then I started getting redirected to random sites when I tried to view sites that I trust. The worrying part is that it took me to a page accusing my device of being used to view child pornography. I'm only 15 years of age myself, and the whole thing has me really worried as this pop up gave the area I live in, my ip and other infomation. Will there be any reercusions of this or is it just some scam site? I have uninstalled chrome on my device and the default browser is working just fine.

I will appreciate any responces.

Hi Eddie, Welcome to Android Forums! :)

Unfortunately there are a lot of people with questionable morals and ethics who don't think twice about scamming others as you found out. What you were victim of is a redirect proxy to a DNS server that takes legitimate requests and forwards them to the bad places. Because Android apps run in protected space they can only effect the app that is accessing them. Chrome in your case. You could have cleared this up without uninstalling it by clearing the app data and cache in application manager.

I wouldn't worry about it, it's just a scam.
