Would like to buy a SGS - any thoughts?

I have a couple of bids on Ebay for around the $100 range.
T-Mobile sells it for $219.99.

I had my sites on the Galaxy Nexus, however, figured for the price on the SGS that would work for me. Does this phone do the job for basic browsing, etc?
What is the best way to get around the 100 minutes on the T-Mobile $30 plan?

Thanks for your help.

The SGS is a bit of a dated phone, but still a solid device. If you're not intending on doing very intensive stuff like gaming, lots of multitasking etc., you should be fine. If you're upgrading from the Optimus V, I think you'll really like it.
If, however, you're going the contracted method, I'd check out the One S. On contract you should get a great price. I will say that $350 for a new unlocked Galaxy Nexus is a fantastic price.

Hey Dread

Thanks for the tips. How about the HTC One V instead of the SGS?
I know the Galaxy Nexus should be my phone, however, trying to buy two phones and save some money. Not looking for the best in tech, but something worthwhile for the wife and me. What say you?
