Would this work?

I have a GS3, and I want to upgrade to the Note 3. However, my two-years with the phone isn't until next July. I have the unlimited data and recently saw that new plan with the 6GB of data for $30 per month. I was wondering: would Verizon give me an early upgrade if I decided to ditch the unlimited data for the 6GB? I never use more than 2.5 per month. If not, is there any other way I could get an early upgrade? Thanks!

Officially early upgrade is dead, but there have been some that have been able to upgrade to the Edge plans or even keep their unlimited plans due to glitches in VZNs system.

You can go through the process of trying to upgrade and see if the system will let you, but otherwise the only other way is to buy the Note 3 at full price and sell your S3.

I tried this also bud, and the answer is no they wont.

you need an upgrade available to do it, and must have 6 months of good standing with VZW.

That was an error on the Verizon website, they fixed it after a couple days so you are no longer able to keep unlimited data with an upgrade.

there is another loophole... at least that happened to me.

the CS rep upgraded my phone for me and said i would be on a 6gig data plan.
it's been a month since.
and i'm still on unlimited.
