Help Wouldn't it be cool...

In general, I despise virtual keyboards. But, that said, there have been times where it would have been nice to be able to send a quick txt or enter a quick search without having to open the real keyboard. So, I could sort of get behind a simple virtual keyboard. It wouldn't be a substitute for the real keyboard, it'd just be for quick and dirty text entry. I'd say "just letters, dot, comma, space, backspace and enter, no digits and no other punctuation/etc."

Yeah, that will be nice when they add a virtual keyboard. Sometimes I don't feel like opening it up.

Once it does have support for it I'm sure we'll see more Android phones.

I don't really want a virtual keyboard, but I DO want a virtual keypad.

When in calls that want you to "press 1 or this, press 2 for that" it's kinda awkward to open the keyboard and press the tiny buttons. Also, the keyboard seems to "sleep" and the first press just wakes it up.

A virtual keypad-dial pad available during calls would be great for these "Press1, Press2" situations. There's nothing else really on the screen during a phone call anyway.

Uh... there IS a virtual keypad. When you make your call, after it connects, there's a little tab at the bottom of the screen with a "5" on it. Click on that. There you go.

I just wish you could use that virtual keypad for T-9 style txt message creation when you don't want to open up the keyboard.
