Hello all, not sure if this is out of line or not, if it is, let me know and I will delete it ASAP!
Since about May of last year, I decided to take my health a little more seriously and started working out 5-6 days a week. I managed to safely lose 35 pounds. I've maintained that weight loss for the past 3 months and I'm now starting to actually take a fairly eye pleasing shape and putting on some muscles.
To my real point though, this year I'm signed up for 4 different obstacle course races so far, here are the links
MetroDash - April 17th - Virginia Beach, VA - 600m
Warrior Dash - May 22nd - Mechanicsville, MD - 5,000m
ASYMCA Mud Run - August 13th - Norfolk, VA - 8,000m (can't register for another month and a half, but I will be registered!)
Tough Mudder - October 23rd - Wintergreen, VA - 20,000m
The final and most challenging, the tough mudder takes sponsors for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Now, here's what I offer to anyone that donates -
For any donation whatsoever, from $0.01 and up, your name will be written on my shirt that I run the tough mudder in
For a $15 donation, YOU get to pick my workout for the day.*
For a $25 donation, YOU get to pick a specialized diet for me to strictly follow for a week.**
For a $50+ donation, it's up to you, we can discuss!
My first donator decided that he wanted me to run an obstacle course, yet everytime I jumped, I would have to jump like Megaman!
Here is a video of the result! It was challenging and fun! (I know the audio sucks, I had a hard time converting the video, sorry about that. But hey, the video was taken on my Droid 2)
My roommate said he is going to make me do Eurotraining, but he hasn't donated yet. I'll do it! I'm crazy like that! That and I just really want to raise as much money as possible for these brave defenders of our country that I have served beside!
* - I'm not going to do a workout that will murder me - no, I can't bench press an escalade, I will however scale it and bench press the heaviest weight I can
** - I'm not going to follow a diet that will murder me - no, I'm not going to live off of motor oil for a week, but vegetarian/vegan/weightwatchers/paleo/zone/michi's ladder/etc are all fair game, and I'm sure there are others I haven't thought of.
