i purchased 2 galaxy s3 phones and the battery cover dont fit one of them properly.so i went onto Samsung.com live chat and they seemed very helpful.said they would replace the cover and to just call this number.so i called and all they said was its not covered by there warranty.and i explained that i just opened this one and it don't fit the phone properly.and all they kept saying was its not covered under there warranty.so now i have a $630 phone with a battery cover that dont fit properly and samsung will do nothing about it.

thanks for nothing

Are you going to cover the phone? I know it's not really a solution, but it would cover the problem...

Stop being salty. You probably broke a clip or two when you originally took it off for the first time to put the battery in. It happens, but don't try to blame it on Samsung. LOL.

Oh and go on eBay dude how much could a new battery cover possibly be?

i am not a noob with phones.i def didn't break it and all clips are perfect but when you put it on the phone it bulges up towards the top right hand corner.i tried my wife's cover and that fit perfect.so i know its only the cover and not anything else with the phone.

i get a call today from a Samsung rep saying that they will replace the cover no problem.
i ask them what changed there mind because a few days ago you guys didnt want to help me for anything.and he was very apologetic and he told me that it was a on going investigation so he really could not discuss it at this time.

That's what you get from plastic and you tell the OP not to blame Samsung?

T mobile put it on...and they did pop it off pretty violently..he took it from the top and just ripped it back. but all in all Samsung came threw and is replacing it.

See -- That's what I mean it's not Samsung or the phone it was the person who originally took the cover off. I never let the T-Mobile reps touch my phone. I always do it myself. Sounds good.

I'm very pleased that Samsung finally stepped up to the plate. They should have done so from the start regardless of how the back was removed. You should have been told "sorry for your experience, I'm sending you a replacement immediately ", nothing less. The part probably costs a couple of pennies at most. A negative post in any well trafficked forum costs them a whole lot more.

the case still looks perfect...when i talked to Samsung they said that it should still fit perfect even though it was taken off like that.they said its made very flexible for a reason.

But i am glad and surprised i got a call from them days after i talked to them.saying they would replace it and sorry for any inconvenience it caused.

i seen metal replacement ones on eBay.i might buy one of them.but not sure of quality or fit...

The once with Samsung amd Galaxy SIII embossed on a brushed aluminum looking back cover fits perfectly. This is how the phone should have been finished. It looks amazing. downside: blocks the use of NFC and has a minor effect on reception.

I don't understand why you are contacting Samsung if it was the carrier that broke it.

he took it off the same way they take them all off.it looks very violent but its the way they pop them off..if i had the phone here i would upload a pic then you would see what i am talking about and understand.

I wouldn't have called Samsung in the 1st place... you just got it, deal with t-mobile, that's what they are there for. But maybe it's worth it to you to wait and not have to drive. *shrugs*

but i traved a few hours to get this one because its the only one around me that had the phone in stock.

Is the SIII hard to get?
They're everywhere here. You're hard pressed to find a phone shop that doesn't have them.
It's common to have 30 or 30 mobile phone shops together and they all have the S3 in little piles.
