WrestleMania 30 The Streak???

Hey gang, with so many HIP people on this site I know there must be a lot of wrestling fans here , so as I am watching The Undertaker on Monday Night Raw right now, and they are talking about The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar match this year, I thought we could get a good "round table" going before hand to see if we can figure out the outcome on our own before the actual match. For those that don't know, the streak is at 21 meaning that the Undertaker has won 21 years in a row at WrestleMania. Will the streak continue to 22 or are they going to have Lesnar break it and probably retire the Undertaker?? I think they are going to keep the streak going at 22 and keep the "mystic" alive one more year at least!

P.S. For all you NON wrestling fans, we all know it's fake but still enjoy it, so please refrain from taking "pot shots" at us in the thread, lol.

I haven't been following it as much as I used to but think you may be on to something, it's getting close to retirement for Undertaker. Or, at least a scaled back schedule. It's a grueling way to make a living and takes it's toll, he needs a rest :)

21 years is a good number to make a change at. Not sure who I'd like to see have the next run though, it's not Lesner (for me anyway).

Lesner in certainly not my hero either, I was always more of a Stone Cold Steve Austin fan, lol.

Well yeah. BUT I WAS THERE FOR THE BEER TRUCK! Were you at the Zamboni? :p

If you mean you were there in the crowd actually getting drenched in beer I have to take my hat off to you because I only saw it on TV. And "that's the bottom line," lol.

The streak is never ending. It's too much of a money maker and Taker deserves to retire with it intact. Oh he's my favorite of all time.

UT will win and keep the streak alive. Brock will probably beat down the UT after the match putting him "out" for the next year. LOL

SCSA was my favorite with The Rock a close second. Nothing beat the late 90s wrestling. They are old and crippled but we'll never see SCSA vs Hulk Hogan. That match should have occurred but too many things happened that got in the way.

That sounds like the way it could go down tube, you would keep the streak alive AND give the Undertaker an excuse to "disappear" for another year. It would even help keeps Lesnars rep as an all around "jerk" in tact, albeit a very dangerous one! Since Lesnar isn't a "full time" employee for the WWE I can't see them having the streak broken and then Lesnar disappearing for several months also, although it wouldn't be the first time they have left me thinking "WTF?" Lol.

Yup. There as in there in the arena. We were a tad too far up to get wet but it was a fun night for sure!

I actually got to see Andre The Giant wrestle in person in Phoenix Arizona when I was in high school, that was a real treat for sure. They had one of those 30 man over the top battle royals like they are going to have this year at WrestleMania to remember him by, and of course nobody could get him over the top. Also they still had "fan interaction" back then, so they offered I can't remember how much money to anyone one from the crowd to come down to the ring and body slam Andre!! Of course some fat guy came down and tried but couldn't even budge him!! I don't know if the guy was a "plant" or not, but it was still a blast to see him try it!!!:)

I'm old. ;):D

I saw Andre the Giant and Wahoo Mcdaniels vs Ric Flair and BlackJack Mulligan in the 70s in nosebleed seats w/my dad. Talk about old school. This was the old NWA/Mid Atlantic so it was good old fashioned wrasslin'

You don't get much more old school than that! I was born in California so I watched Verne Gagne's AWA till we moved to Arizona and I watched NWA wrasslin' on cable tv via the TBS! Speaking of the NWA, any chance they might try and work Sting into this match? He is part of the WWE FINALLY!!!

Sting joined the WWE!? When did this happen?

There were rumors that Sting is signing with WWE. I don't know if it has been finalized. I guess we will find out on the Raw after Mania. The big rumor is that they are setting up a big match between Taker and Sting for WM 31.

This would have been awesome 10 - 15 years ago. Sadly, I think Sting is passed his prime. UT wrestles once a year. LOL. But, yeah, rumors are swirling because he will be in town for a Wrestlecon event (whatever that is). We shall see. That's been a dream matchup at Wrestlemania for years. I always thought Sting would never sign w/WWE but I don't keep up that much anymore.

Exactly.
As much as I liked Rick Flair (Woooooo!) he stayed in/came back way longer than he should have. It was sort of pathetic actually. I loved Sting, way back when. I have no desire to see him all old and wrinkly trying to be relevant again. There comes a time to retire or leave and stay gone. Sting is there now.

And, just a random thought from the way back machine...Chief Jay Strongbow was awesome! I remember watching him with my dad when I was a wee tyke.

That's the "magic" of wrestling though, if it's done right you can do it "forever" practically! Look at Double A Arn Anderson, he still appears from time to time in a respectable role. Grated that maybe in TNA Rick Flair actually wrestled a bit longer than he should have, but I think what he's doing right now in the WWE is "acceptable." And just remember TOUGH GUY, with Rick Flair "it's a lot easier to jump on than it is to jump off!" WOOOOOOOOOOO! Lol.

Yeah sadly its years too late. The best thing is that Sting would have a year to get in ring shape and do tons of training lol.....assuming this is happening.

"I don't know. I really don't know. I can say that I would love for that to happen," Sting said when asked about the possibility of a match next year at Wrestlemania 31.
"I can tell you that, really, there's only one more match that I would like to have," he said. "Yes, Undertaker."
The one thing, however, that could put a kink in those plans would be Father Time. Sting would be 56 and The Undertaker (Mark Calaway) 50 going into that bout.

Don't want to spoil it for any of you who haven't seen it yet, but if everyone has we could comment on the match if anyone is up for it.
