WTF?! Sold my Optimus M--TWO TIMES--but no payment! (eBay rant)

I've now sold my Optimus M TWO times on eBay--and not been paid either time!

Am *I* doing something wrong??! It's annoying as hell. Has anyone else experienced this??

You should only sell to people that have more than about 20 feedback, never to people with no feedback. Also, just contact ebay and paypal about it, they will work with you to get the buyer taken care of.

It used to be that you could get direct contact information for non-paying bidders, including phone numbers, from eBay. I don't know if this is still the case. If the buyer hasn't paid, Paypal can't do anything, but eBay can.

Another option you have is to offer a second chance to the next lowest bidder, if there was one, without holding another auction.

Hey, I only have about 7 feedback, because most of the time sellers don't leave feedback. Granted, I've only bought or sold about 15 things over the span of 7 years, but still. I always pay on time.

Report them for non payment.

In your settings you can insist bidders have a paypal account and that they have not been reported for non payment.

I've reported both buyers already. Didn't know about the second-chance/next-highest-bidder thing. I'll look into that. Didn't know you could restrict bidders; I'll look into that as well. Thanks for all the advice!

I use craigslist... and do it local

Forget all that... if you MUST sell on eBay do a Buy it now with 'immediate payment required'. It's an option and it's the ONLY way I will sell stuff on eBay because you're payment is received before the auction is ever ended.

For me though I sell most of my stuff on Craigslist and I was a power seller on eBay for many years (over 3,400 positive feedback @ 100% positive since 1999) so if I prefer CL that should tell you something.
