Help Xperia P - lost all contacts

My phone lost all contacts from the SIM card. There were no contacts on the Xperia P memory neither.
Android 4.0.4 upgrade done a week ago

Of course I have no backup of my contacts

If you go to a PC, log in to the gmail account associated with your phone and head to contacts? There's nothing there?

If you'd added a gmail account it would have been synced so just take a look at your google account.

Please also check that you don't just have a filter on the contacts: Main Menu > Contacts > Menu Button > Filter > Untick all option under Filter Contacts and tick everything under Contacts to Display.
