Xperia s vs galaxy s2

Basically my phone died n I need a new one and I have some how ended up buying both of these phones and was wondering if there were any recommendations on either I need the phone to last 8-12 months and don't mind attempting custom roms is the xperia s actually that much better and will it last without touching it I like the fact the s2 has micro ad card aswell but one has to be sold off

Oh the s2 is unlocked and the xperia s is orange locked

Sony xperia have a lot of models, which specific device you are talking about. If the device is Neo V or Xperia U I will suggest you to prefer S II.
But if it is Sony Xperia S then it is a hard choice..
Since S II is unlocked I will suggest you to go for it.

I would suggest to get the S2, one of the better phones to ever be released, in my opinion, and still quite a hit in the phone world, even though it is over a year old.

the only problem is I do a lot of browsing and the Sony has the better res

I have both and the Galaxy S2 is much much better in terms of the UI, smoothness and reliability.

Xperia S has the worst UI. It's buggy, unreliable and slow. The camera is also very disappointing and takes poor quality shots for the amount of MP it has. I don't know why they even try making phones.
