Help xperia x10 failed to update and red led and won't open plz help

hi i have xperia x10 and when i trying to update in the middle of the process there is massage that the update failed and i try to restart the computer and restart the phone and try another computer but there is no way ,the phone won't open and red led is on and off more than one time and vibrate for tow second then it shows a yellow rectangle on the screen so what happened and how can i fix the problem. thanks

Hopefully you are updating using Windows XP or Windows 7 (preferably not x64 bit) No Linux or Mac or any Windows emulator.

Remove the battery for 2 minutes, and try and flash the phone again.

In order to update the phone the phone needs to start OFF.

So, go through using PC Companion and when it asks to plug in your phone, plug in the USB cable to the phone and computer with the battery out.

Then hold the back button on the phone and insert the battery while holding that back button in order to start the reflash/repair using PC Companion.
