Help xperia z3 having Lte issues

I just got an xperia z3, D6606, and I can't get the LTE on it to work. I have contacted AT&T about it and told them that I had unlimited LTE before I switched from my iPhone 5s. They told me that they had fixed the issue, but the H, H+ sign is still there. Is this an issue with the phone or with my provider? I'm pretty sure the Z3 is capable of LTE, so I'm just reallt confused about what's going on.

Or might be a hspa only model

I don't think there is a hspa only modern is there?
To me it just sounds like you are unable to get 4g coverage where you are.
