As usual, Ole Bluegrass Cellular throws us a curve! I have been with them for aprox 15 years. We'll just leave it at that for now. In another place another time I might tell the 15 year sage. Continuously contracts on at least 2. When kids were home we had 2 to 3 more. NEVER a late payment or ANYTHING negaty from this end kf our relationship....
With that said..... I have purchased the "Razr Maxx" . I did so because the major carriers were considerably more expensive. I paid retail to keep my unlimited data plan.(unlimited locally very little on roam) I had the chance a couple of years ago to keep my FULLY unlimited plan (local and roam) Without considering that I would not be ale to take advantage of the navigation system if I decided to go farther from home than a few miles. South it's only 20miles. If I slip and don't turn all data off the syncing would eat that in a couple days. Had I known what was coming I, CERTAINLY, would have bw my Milestone X outright!
Now their Razr Maxx is not your typical Razr Maxx. It's the odd duck, as usual. These are XT908s. I read where it's called a "Spyder" overseas. This all boils down to problems with tech.... Duh...I have yet to find a root that says compatible with an XT908. WE also have no sbf files so it's one and done.
I like the phone.. It is super fast, battery is awesome, just about everything it does it does well. I just wish we could find a root that was definitely compatible. Not "it. I should work" I miss all the things I could do with my rooted X! Blueass does allow tethering. (isn't for long) so that's not it I also live in the sticks so with no 4g I could not deal with 3g tethering speeds! . I would /will pay for Internet and wifi home. (when I hit 4g it's a rocket.! 20 mi 2 ways..
Anywho. Anyone who actually knows and doesn't just think they know where us hillbillies can get a compatible root exploit or has any knowledge period please let me know. Please PM or whatever you want. I'm certain if I had sbfs and was on a compatible list I'd be ROMing and the whole 9 yards. I've at least learned a lot researching the devices I've had from them.

you could TRY over at Portal - DroidRzr.com, though i'm fairly certain that they've only got stuff for the 910/912.
