Yahoo Contacts Offline HTC Incredible

I'm sure someone has posted on this but I can't find just what I need and my frustrations are growing. I just got the Incredible today and dl Yahoo and went to msg someone already on my friends list and when they replied it popped up in a separate window and they were shown as offline. Also doing it with my Google now. Even when I dl Ebuddy, it's still not working correctly. Anyone know anything about this? PLEASE PLEASE PLEAAAAAASE HELP!!!!

Not sure what is the problem. If they are offline they are offline. You can send messages to them when they are offline, and they will get it when they go online.

No. The problem is they ARE online, but it's showing them offline. Now I'm having problems adding the person to my list. Shows pending no matter how many times I or they accept the request.
