Help Yahoo email authentication failed

Hi,
Forgive me if this has been asked numerous times but my searching skills aren't very good. I'm getting an authentication failed message when trying to set up yahoo mail on my galaxy s4 using the default android app.

I've tried setting it up as imap using port 993 incoming but it fails.

Can anyone please provide the correct procedure? Please let me know if you need more info.

It should do basic account setup for you automatically. Be sure to use your complete email address for authentication. Here's Yahoo's setup info if you need it:

If you can't get it going you might try another email client. The stock Samsung email app seems to give a lot of people trouble, for whatever reason.

Hi, those are the settings that I've tried using so I can only assume that it's the stock Samsung app.

Can you recommend a good alternative app please?

My favorite is AquaMail but you probably would like something more basic and free. Take a look at K9 in the Play store.

The Gmail app can actually handle other servers. I have my Outlook (formerly Hotmail) account connected to it. Or better yet, just get the Yahoo! mail app.

I've downloaded blue mail for now which seems to be quite intuitive to use. Thanks for your help guys
