Yahoo Mail App vs Androids email App

Hello everyone,
I tried searching the forums for an answer but I really could not find one. I just recently got my new Android phone last week, Samsung Fascinate, and am enjoying the heck out of it. However I used the original email app that comes with the phone but I could not get my contacts. So I obtained the Yahoo email app and I enjoy it. So now I have two apps running. My question is can I somehow import my yahoo mail contacts to the Android, easily. Also, should I just keep the yahoo app since it works fine or get rid of it and use the native email app? Thanks in advance.

To my knowledge you can't use yahoo mail in the regular email app unless you have a pay yahoo account. As far as the contacts, see if yahoo allows you to export your contacts. If you can then you can put the file onto your device and import the contacts.

In the android yahoo mail account, it appears you can go into the settings of the account and set it to sync all of your yahoo contacts. I use 3 yahoo email accounts on my android. However, when I set up my Android, I had to open a gmail account and I already converted all my contacts and calendar into google. So I do not sync my yahoo contacts for fear of creating multiple contacts in my Android.

Thanks for all the information everyone. So what I tried to do was transfer my contacts over and then uninstall yahoo mail. Well when I did that yahoo mail also took the email contacts with it. I will just remove my yahoo address from the android email client so that way I only get one email notification. Thanks again everyone. :D
