Hidden files

Guest
Alright, I was just emailing my teacher some thing and I needed to attach files to the email. When I clicked the paper clip icon to attach, some photos came up that I would really rather not be on my phone. However, I can't find them anywhere else on my phone. They were previously in my Snapchat memories, under "My Eyes Only", but I forgot the password and reset the password and deleted the images inside. It is still displaying them in Yahoo mail. I also downloaded Amaze and searched through many files and deleted some images that I had no idea still existed, but I still could not find the ones I was looking for. Anybody know how to find them?

Use a file explorer like Solid to go into the phone's individual folders like DOWNLOAD. You can delete the pictures, move them, whatever.

There is a way to keep pictures from showing up in Gallery, too: on a PC, open Notepad and create an empty text file named ".nomedia.txt" and copy it to a folder on your phone's SD card (or internal memory, either one). Any pictures put in the folder with the .nomedia file will not show up.

You can create those files using Solid explorer. Just touch the "+" button once open. Personally I have always created a file as below:

.nomedia

And dropped it into any folder with files I don't want apps to view the contents of and as yet not had any issues. You can also hide folders by prefixing them with a full stop. Like so:

.myhiddenfolder

Both types can be created in Solid explorer. Once created you will need to make sure you either show or hide hidden files or folders within the options menu "Folder options".
