Help Yahoo Messenger for Android doesn't work well on Froyo...any fixes ?

Hi,

I just installed the much awaited Yahoo! Messenger for Android from the Market. Unfortunately, all my contacts are shown offline, I can send messages to them but I cannot receive the replies. Anyone has the same problems ? Any fixes ?

Did you see if Yahoo is compatible with FroYo? You might want to contact the Yahoo support/dev with this.

if it isnt compatible there are other Im programs out there that can let you atleast connect to yahoo, personally i use the Meebo app, but i also have all the ims too.

Yeah.. I've installed it on my nexus one.. and it's running fine without any problem.

It's work fine for me. You can try to uninstall and install it again.

Which smartphone are you using and what version of droid does it currently run? If it's older than 2.1, maybe consider upgrading to 2.1. Also, is there any type of firewall that's running on your cell or anything that would block incoming ports, etc? This sort of problem normally occurs on PCs when an antivirus or firewall program blocks certain incoming ports. Disabling them or allowing communication through those ports normally solves the problem.
