Help Yahoo Messenger Question

Im trying to use Yahoo Messenger to make video calls to the 3G Slide. It just keeps ringing and nothing happens on the Slide. But when I call to Messenger on a computer the call go through and its fine. Does video calling only work if the other person has video calling capability? Has anyone used messenger to make video calls to a non vodeo phone? Any help would be great.

I installed yahoo messenger and plugin for voice/video chat. On my droid (OG) I even can't click video button, it's grayed out. Though I was able to successfully call the iMac and talk. On Mac, video broadcast is enabled but can't invite the droid user to view webcam.

yahoo messenger still is working on its mobile app I hope it gets better with future updayes there really is no way to fix it yourself yahoo has to do it.

Ok, I just upgraded my Windows Yahoo messenger to v10 and it allows me to initiate the voice-call but nothing happens on the droid (same as OP).

I strongly believe that yahoo add-on for voice/video needs upgrade.

I have the same issue trying to connect to a macbook- when my gf is on, I can't connect because it's grayed out. When she's off, it's available. I sent an e-mail to the dev address through the store. If you haven't done so, I'd give that a shot. If more people chime in, maybe they'll get the message.
