Yet another contact widget thread...

I know this question gets asked a lot, but it seems like such a simple issue that hasn't been executed just right yet, at least not on a stock DX.

I want a 1x1 widget per contact of my choosing, that when tapped provides me with an option to call or text said contact, in a simple popup window. I've tried every app on the market that claims to do anything similar to this, and have yet to find a decent solution. Contacts! has been suggested, but unless you select a (Singular!) default action, tapping a contact just takes you to their info page. Useless. I also tried "Contacts Widget" which has been suggested, but that didn't work properly on my DX. So phandroids, where is the miracle widget?

Thanks folks. :)

I have a Droid, not sure if it's the same but I can do this:
1. Long press on the home screen.
2. Choose "Shortcuts."
3. Choose "Contact."
4. Pick any contact I want.
That does exactly what you described. Hope it works for you!

On mine it is:

1) Long press on home screen
2) Shortcut
3) Person
4) Select Contact
5) Quick Contact (don't select a single number or email address there, at the bottom you will see this option)
