Hodroid
Lurker
Hello everyone, I decided to call myself Hodroid. I love Android based devices. I have a Droidx and I am kind of a self-proclaimed app junkie (more for games). I have recently decided to start trying my hand at developing for Android. I got myself a copy of Thinking in Java and also Android Programming for Absolute Beginners.
I've downloaded and set up Java, along with Eclipse: Galileo. Yesterday, I actually completed my Hello World app. I had a sense of pride after that small accomplishment, haha. I programmed back in high school with VB. My final project for my sophomore year was a homemade Frogger game, in which I programmed and did all the (crappy) artwork myself. I found it very enjoyable but I don't know why I never chose to major in programming for college.
I actually kind of majored for the complete opposite, which is Criminal Justice. I have my Associates and I'm moving towards my Bachelors. My devotion has waivered because if the future is anything like my boring security job, then I will be going back to school real soon after I complete my degree.
Well, I hope I meet a lot of you here and you'll probably get sick of me asking a lot of programming questions related to Java/Eclipse, but that's mostly why I'm here.
Thanks
Hodroid.
