You might have a solid and well-built N7

I love my Note 7. Oh look it's at 100%! Darn that wireless charger works great! waiting for replacements before i do anything. In fact Verizon is waving the restocking fee until September 30. That said I'm not giving up my phone until I have a New replacement in hand. The $25. credit from Samsung will cover the restocking fee.

I have a feeling when the replacements Notes are actually in they will change that statement. I think right now they are accepting a return of the Note in exchange for the S7 or S7 Edge and trying to look like they are doing something special by waiving the restocking fee on that exchange.
 
I also intend to demand a $25 bill credit and not $25 off on an accessory purchase. Samsungs statement didn't say it had to be an accessory purchase.
 
no restocking fee for returned/exchanged. and if you exchange and then want to go BACK to note 7 after they're restocked, you can exchange again without a restocking fee.

Verizon rep credited my account for the $25 inconvenience per the Samsung instructions today. Yay! I still have my N7 though. Local store still wants me to trade for an S7 edge and refund the difference. No dice!
 
Verizon told me I can get a New S7 and use it as long as I have to wait for a replacement Note 7. Once the Note 7's come in I can swap it out at no charge. Must be done by September 30th. I questioned along with the Rep. what is Verizon going to do with all the used phones they end up with? Obviously resell them but at a cost. I assume Samsung will compensate them. I'm just hoping the replacements arrive this month as has been claimed. I have no interest in using and/or tweaking any other phone. I'm using my phone until September 30th and potentially after. I'd love to see the retailer's run out of replacement phones!!! Good Luck People!
 
What happens if replacement Note 7s don't come in until after the 30th? That's only 2 weeks from now! Or are you saying the trade-in has to happen before the 30th and the swap to the new Note 7 happens... whenever?
 
According to VZW phone rep the initial trade in has to happen prior to Sept 30. Then the final swap out to the new N7 can happen whenever the new N7's arrive. The problem I have run into is that the stores have contradicted the phone reps and claimed that we are just trading for an S7 and will have to do another contract when the N7's come in. They are driving me crazy!
 
Yes Chief....kokiangel I have not investigated whether the phone rep. would have sent me a phone to swap. I'm calling tomorrow to get the info.
