Your advice please..Nexus or Galaxy S3?

I've found myself in a situation where I have a Galaxy S3 and a Nexus! My better half tells me that I should really sell one of them (and I know that I should!) but I just can't seem to decide.
I love the customisation options on the Nexus but I love the screen, camera and power of the quadcode S3.
I love the idea that Google update my Galaxy and hate the thought of waiting for updates from Samsung (still no JB).
Whatever I decide, I'm sure that I'm going to regret it but can anyone offer any advice? I just don't want to be stuck with an outdated phone in 6 months.

I'm a biased Nexus owner, but doesn't this mean you want the Nexus? I received 4.1.1 in July and I am about to get 4.1.2 (it has already rolled out internationally to some Nexus devices).

But phones are a very personal choice. Since you own both, try using only one for two weeks at a time and make a mental note about how often you wished you were using the other during your dedicated time with the first. Or if you think they are equal and neither is significantly better than the other, just flip a coin or have your significant other decide?

Personally, on paper the S3 is better than the Nexus. But nothing about it blows the Nexus away. Guaranteed early updates and purchasing directly from google and unlocked is why I chose the Nexus over the S3.

I recently saw a video about 50 ways the S3 was better than the iPhone and the S3 intrigued the hell out of me. I'm not a big fan of my GNex so I'd grab the S3. I've found ROMming isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

Oh man, when I found out how to flash ROMs, I went crazy with it. At first I was just flashing to try something new, and it made me feel good. I'd always make a nandroid in case I messed something up. Then I started flashing daily. Then I'd flash stuff I didn't even need, and I quit making nandroids because they'd just slow me down. Then CPS took away my kids, and my wife left me for an iPhone user. She said he didn't need to flash anything.

From what you described, sounds like you would like Nexus better. GS3 has better hardware like processor, camera, speaker and it's a bit better on battery life. If you are fine with battery life, signal on your G Nexus, I guess Gnex is the one for you.

I have both as well. My S3 is in my hands most of the time. It's nice having a phone Google updates (Jelly Bean rocks), but the S3 has better hardware. screen, memory, processor, camera, etc.

If I had to sell one, I'd sell the GNex now before new models are released. S3 will get you more money on the resale but the hardware will also compete longer.

I'd say to keep the Galaxy S3 and then compromise by getting a Nexus 7 (most ideally, the 32GB model that's supposed to roll out soon) to get a powerhouse android phone and a fun tablet being constantly updated through Google itself.
That's just my $0.02, though.
