I use that Disconnect extension that they mention, in my browser. It was blocking 21 tracking processes on their website - 4 facebook, 16 google, and 1 twitter...

I just feel that people should know. What they do about it is up to them. But when they complain about spam and push ads when the explanations are here as stickies-----
The same will also complain to device designers etc, and all of the others who are aware and can deal with this have extra junk to either root or disable on said devices.

Thanks for that interesting article link zuben el genub. Hey, is there something like DoNotTrackMe for Android devices? I tend to use my phone more than my PC for online stuff other than paying bills or ordering stuff.

They aren't using anything from me to target ads to me - I block cookies, javascript and anything else I can think of from facebook.com.

They can't target ads to me, either. No astronomical company is large enough- I've never seen a push ad for Adobe Software, or Canon anything. Any camera ad you get is likely to be from a reseller, not the company.

Quilting and embroidery software and mdse is niche, so they don't bother.

Anything else doesn't interest me.

If I want Android - I'll come here for info. Not Google.

The problem is - have you ever seen a scientific/crafting category in all the ads?
