Have the Alcatel 5044R. Checked google play and I do not believe there was a single youtube downloader. Do not mind paying but would like to know what can be had for free... Guidance sought

Nope, not allowed on Google Play. Same as previous replies in this thread. Google owns YouTube, so of course they want to protect copyright.

If the ownerof the video allows downloads (via the Youtube system) then you can download the video using the Youtube app. If the owner of the video doesn't allow it, then it is a violation of copyright to download it.
