Youtube Preloading, where is the extra data going?

Have just discovered preloading on youtube, great idea but when I search videos, then select the watch later option it downloads the video on wireless fine......but then the data download on my internet account just keeps going...somewhere.

What I mean is the data on my pc connection adds up to about the right amount for the youtube clip (say 10 MB), but then the download usage meter on my pc just keeps going. If a youtube clip is 10mb, I select watch later, I see the wireless usage go to 10 mb, the clip gets the green arrow in the 'watch later' page on the phone, but the data keeps flowing, I let it get to about 50mb then disconnect.

I have to shut down wireless on the phone or pc router to make it stop.

hmm interesting. I never use that app, and use flash with the browser to watch videos on the phone.

You can only preload clips using wifi, I'm using Virtual Router Manager to use my laptop as a wireless router.

Try PVSTAR+. It does the same thing as far as caching, but also works on mobile. See if that makes a difference.

All good if anyone's wondering, realised that because I have the 'preload subscriptions' option checked as well as the required 'preload later' option, it was automatically downloading all the videos from my subscriptions without asking. Annoying, and me not being that savvy didn't figure it out for a while.
