I'm making a meal planner/scheduling app that is supposed to integrate the whole process from searching and storing recipes to inventory management and tracking expenses. You can find it here. Below are some features that I have included so far:
If you are interested please give it a try, would appreciate some feedback.
Thank you.
I'm making a meal planner/scheduling app that is supposed to integrate the whole process from searching and storing recipes to inventory management and tracking expenses. You can find it here. Below are some features that I have included so far:
- Unit conversion
- Converts ingredient quantities based on Recipe's original serving size to your actual meal size. E.g Recipe Serving size is 4, Meal size is for yourself only, all ingredient quantities are divided by 4.
- Tracks expenses and visualises cost over weeks/months.
- 2 kinds of recipes:
- For serving: E.g Chicken Rice
- For use in other recipes: e.g Soup stock. You can reference these recipes in your serving recipes by entering the recipe name as an ingredient.
- If a recipe is used as an ingredient, it will appear in your Grocery list so that you can either enter the price if you purchased it from a store or expand the recipe into its ingredients if you are making it yourself.
- Grouping of Recipes/Meals into categories using HashTags
- Search for recipes online using the app, powered by food2fork api, and pull recipes into the app. Alternatively paste in a URL from outside to pull that specific app. However, not all websites are supported as there are variations between website structure. Currently these websites are supported:
- allrecipes.com
- thepioneerwoman.com
- bbcgoodfood.com
- simplyrecipes.com
- bbc.co.uk/food
- epicurious.com
- healthy-delicious.com
- foodrepublic.com
- aspicyperspective.com
- seriouseats.com
- bonappetit.com
If you are interested please give it a try, would appreciate some feedback.
Thank you.
