I've been getting email messages that keep coming back from the dead (read/deleted) onto my Samsung S3/ATT/Android 4.4.2.
It seems to be mostly on Yahoo emails (IMAP) but could be happening on more accounts as well. The zombie messages are deleted - or "read" time and time again and just keep coming back as new for weeks, months seemingly totally random. These emails would also be deleted or read and marked as such via OSX Mail (IMAP). If I check on the actual mail provider directly, they do not appear new/unread.
This is the "Email" app that came with the phone - I don't know if it's a stock Android App - and ATT App or a Samsung S3 stock app? The icon is a white envelope with a Red @ symbol in the middle.
I use it to access multiple email accounts and consolidate into one in box.
Any thoughts? Having to go through and re-read/delete zombie emails all the time is just insane. It wasn't always like this - it only just started doing this a few months ago.
